Biography of Isaac Gbadamosi

(Dec 13, 1951 - Apr 30, 2016)

Isaac Adewale Gbadamosi was born to Pastor Abraham Audu and Mrs Adisetu Gbadamosi on December 13th, 1951 in Ibadan, Nigeria. He grew up in Bodija, Ibadan. He graduated from Kwara Polytechnic with a degree in Civil Engineering and thereafter, he proceeded for postgraduate training in Structural Engineering from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom.

In Nigeria, Isaac worked as a Civil Engineer with different engineering companies including Bestarc and Armeco subsidiaries. Eventually, he started his own company, Consolidated Engineering Services, which he operated until he relocated to the United States and made New Jersey his permanent home in 2003. He worked with HNTB, a construction company in the State of NJ where he served faithfully till his death.

He accepted the Lord in November, 1983 during his postgraduate training in the UK, while attending Bethshan Christian Center.

Isaac married his beloved wife, Grace on September 8th, 1984. They are blessed with five wonderful children: Emmanuel, David, Stephen, Sharon and Joanne.

He worked hard and tirelessly to fulfill his ministry, work obligations and to support his wife, children and extended family. This was also evident in the daily contribution of his time and energy into the progress of Victory Childcare Center (the daycare services center co-founded by Grace), and the daily evening prayers he conducted to spend time with the family. He loved his wife more than anything in the world, and gave his children the right tools to survive.

He is survived by his wife, Grace, his five children: Emmanuel, David, Stephen, Sharon and Joanne, and three grandchildren: Damion, Jaylee and Elizabeth-Elaine. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, along with a host of extended family members. Rather than mourn his death, he would prefer we celebrate his life because he lived a fulfilled life serving God and humanity. His passion for God and his family will be greatly missed but we trust that we will meet again one day, in the presence of the Lord.
